GENERAL INFO

WHERE DO I PURCHASE RISCH PRODUCTS?

Risch menu covers and more are widely available for sale at both major and local Foodservice Equipment and Supplies dealers. If you have a Foodservice supplier that you work with, they likely sell our products. If you are not sure how to find a distributor of Risch products, contact us and we will connect you with a local rep in your area.

If you are a re-seller looking to become a distributor, complete this form and we will get you set up as a registered Risch distributor.

CAN I GET A SAMPLE?

Absolutely! Submit your request to us, and we will get your sample delivered with expedience. Samples are sent for quality and construction purposes. While we do our best to send the item closest to your request, samples are not always in the exact configuration requested. Swatches of all covers offered are available for color and texture verification. Some product samples are billable and non-returnable. You will be notified of billable samples when we receive your request. One free sample per customer of most products are available upon request. However, we do request your UPS, Fed-Ex account number, or payment for transportation charges.

Catalogs and swatches are always available at no charge.

WHAT ARE YOUR STANDARD LEAD TIMES?

Our production lead times vary based on order influx and production capacity. If you need an order quickly, please reach out to our customer service team to receive the current lead time! Please note lead times are only for production and they may be longer if material is not in-stock. Material stock is verified upon order receipt.

HOW MANY COVERS DO I NEED?

It’s a good idea to have extras on hand in order to reduce the frequency of your menu cover re-orders. Covers resist wear and tear when there is an optimal number in circulation for your establishment’s capacity. The lunch hour tends to be the busiest. Be prepared for the rush by making sure you have enough covers to distribute to every customer in your restaurant. Use the handy chart below to help determine how many covers you really need to keep your establishment running optimally.

LOGOS & ARTWORK

IS MY LOGO GOOD FOR USE?

At Risch, we have a simple way of checking and proofing logos to see if they are good for use, vector files or not! While we prefer to take vector files (.ai,.eps,.svg), we can still work with other types of files. However, these files (.jpg, .png, .tiff, .psd or .pdf) must be high resolution (300 dpi). In our process, our experienced designers review the work and see if it is good for use. The programs we use help us modify the logo file and easily convert it into vector format. Unfortunately, if we cannot easily change the file, due to certain issues like low resolution or the image being too small, you will be subject to a 1 hour rework charge. Once we get the order for the rework fee, we will convert your logo into a vector file!

When you’re ready, you can send your logo to us. Our team can help you with any issues or questions you have!

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE MY OWN LOGO?

We have a couple free options if you don’t have a logo and are in need of one.

TYPESETTING

If you are looking to have your restaurant name or other text on your menu cover, the Risch art & design team offers a typesetting service. Typesetting is taking your specific text and setting it in a font, for placement on a menu cover. Typeset text can be used on any menu cover. For typesetting, fill out our Typeset order form and choose from our list of stock type or have us match a font (matching specific font requires service charge). Typeset from stock font options are free with up to two stock font choices. Additional typesetting will be subject to service fees.

COMPLIMENTARY DIE STAMP LOGOS

Looking for a simple stamp on your brand new Risch covers? Don’t quite have custom digital art you want printed? We have you covered with our complimentary type logos. Risch offers stock logos available for foil stamped, burnished, embossed, or blind debossed logos. Our complimentary stamps can also be added to your custom logo for stamping. To have a complimentary die added to your cover, please refer to the die number (example: S-4 for Menu). *metal dies, sizing, and font cannot be adjusted*

WHAT COVER STAMPING OPTIONS DO YOU OFFER?

Most Risch casebound covers are custom stamped with a metal die plate. Metal die plates are created from high-resolution digital art files. These plates then stamp the cover material in a variety of techniques; foil stamp, blind-deboss, burnish, and emboss. We also offer laser engraving for our wood products and a monticello window option. To learn more, click the button below.

WHAT ARE YOUR FOIL COLOR OPTIONS?

Although gold, silver, black, and white are the most popular picks, we offer 43 foil options for you to choose from! Please keep in mind that foil colors may vary slightly in hue once stamped due to underlying material color bleed through. Foil color is also contingent upon adhering to cover material. Not all colors are guaranteed to adhere to every material type, which means that some materials are not compatible with every foil type. This is due to the inherent chemical makeup of the cover material and foil.

Please note that colors often vary slightly from digital screen, hue may be different from screen to final cover print.

CLEANING PROCESS

HOW DO I CLEAN MY COVERS?

When cleaning at the end of a shift, use only warm water, or very mild soapy water on a soft damp (not soaking wet) cloth or sponge. Do not use harsh chemicals, glass cleaners, abrasives, bleach, etc. Harsh chemicals destroy both covering materials and stamped images. We also have a list of tips to help extend the life of your menu cover below.

  • Make sure to regularly remove dust, dirt, crumbs, and spills.

  • Protect your menu covers from ball point pen, and other indelible ink sources. Ink stains are generally permanent so we recommend the wait staff to avoid allowing pens and markers to come in contact with Risch products.

  • Always store your menu covers flat atop one another. Keep menu cover stacks small, as not to tip them over and drop.

  • Keep your covers at room temperature whenever possible.

  • Order a sufficient number of covers for your establishment. Stretching covers too thin across many patrons leads to extra wear and tear.

WHAT SHOULD I AVOID DOING TO PROLONG THE LIFE OF MY PRODUCTS?

  • Do not use wooden wall boxes since they can destroy the life of your product. The repeated action of pushing and pulling the covers in and out of these boxes, tears at them and destroys their edges.

  • Do not store menu covers or placemats near heat sources or let them come in contact with stoves, coffee makers, and hot plates.

  • Do not store them in refrigerated rooms or unheated supply areas that may cause materials to crack.

  • Do not let your covers become submerged in water or liquid.

  • Never put any Risch products through a dishwasher (unless stated otherwise).

RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We accept returnable, unused product back within 30 days of customer receipt! Many of our products are produced-to-order and are non-returnable, so please reach out to see if your order can be taken back. Our returns department will issue an RMA number for you. A restocking fee is applicable, as are freight costs back to our factory. Once the RMA number is issued, product must be received back within 10 business days. Unauthorized returns, refused packages, and damaged or used products will not be credited.

CAN I CANCEL AN ORDER ONCE IT’S BEEN PLACED?

Please reach out to our customer service team to see if we can cancel your order. We strive to product and ship as quickly as possible once an order is received, so we recommend cancellations be requested within 1 business day or sooner. If we have started your order or already shipped it out, the order is not able to be cancelled.
